Universal Children's Day

Every year on the 20th November the world celebrates Universal Children’s Day, a day to highlight the innocence of children, and the future they can offer us.

It is something which is very close to The Magical World of Fingley’s hearts. Our mission has always been and will always be to inspire children to find their inner strength, to encourage them to have a voice and to change the world in their own unique and special way.

Children are born without prejudice, without judgement, without hatred or bitterness. They see the world with a wonder that we should all be encouraged to have. They welcome change and new opportunities, they see the good in people, they trust and love unconditionally. They do not see wealth or poverty, skin colour or politics. They see people. Of all different shapes and sizes, of all different races, of all different countries.

As we grow into adulthood, negative experiences, competition and learned prejudices threaten this innocent outlook. We become used to behaving a certain way in society, and lose the freedom we once had as a child.

Universal Children’s Day is a plight to highlight the importance of raising our children with the intention of keeping this freedom alive. Each new generation has the power to change the world with their voice and we must make sure that every child is given one.

The books in The Magical World of Fingley aim to encourage children’s voices. Our series of adventures teach children that it’s ok to care, that it is important to have dreams, to be brave and to be aware.

Read Tom’s Time Tunnel Quest, Lucy’s Fingley Discovery, Sam’s Future Awaits, and Aziza’s Bubble Adventure to see how our magical world inspires children all around the world.

Our gifts, products, stories and brand continuously strive to help children grow into a new generation of voices that has the bravery, awareness and determination to address the global, economical and political issues we are currently facing.

Children are our hope for a brighter future. Let’s give them the freedom, strength and education to make it so.
